An air-conditioning pump that leaves minimum carbon footprint

Our pump model 8HS15

Air-conditioning is a major source of carbon emissions and to mitigate the environmental impact of extensive air-conditioning of large public spaces, it is important to develop energy efficient chilled water pumps.

Our pump model 8HS15 meets the goal admirably by achieving high efficiency of 89% at BEP and maintaining a consistency high efficiency over the entire operating range.

Our pump model 8HS15

How was the high efficiency achieved? Design parameters were chosen very carefully to optimize on hydraulic efficiency and we did extensive CFD analysis to verify and reconfirm our design. We also built the prototype with extreme care so that the mechanical, leakage and disc friction losses remain low.

This helped us achieve the benchmark efficiency on prototype test.

8HS15 covers mpst popular air-conditioning duties of 600-800m3 / hr @ 30-40 m head. These pumps are used in central air-conditioning plants at airports, hospitals, stadiums and other public utilities.

Our pump model 6HS15

To mitigate the problem, we need, amongst best of other measures, energy efficient chilled water and cooling tower pumps. Development of 6HS15 is a small step in this direction. This pump caters for one of the most popular chilled water duty band – Capacity – 350 to 500m3/hr. Head – 50 to 45m @1480rpm We have achieved a peak efficiency of 87% and this is nearly the optimum one can expect with current design and production technologies. We will continue to focus our efforts to develop more energy efficient pumps all around. This will be our humble contribution to the global efforts to reduce carbon emission..

TWO STAGE PUMPS

RANGE CHART

Well, two stage split case pumps offer several advantages over conventional bolted segment mutistage pumps and low specific speed single stage units -they are more efficient. They are a lot easier to maintain compared to bolted segment units.Axial/radial thrusts are balanced in these pumps leading to better seal/bearing lives. We make these two stage pumps in many configurations - two single entry impellers ,two double entry impellers , mixed design, pumps with internal cross-over and ones with external cross-over.

Mixed flow pumps

For estimating true performance of the pump, particularly, part flow behaviour,shut-off power and recirculation characteristics suction piping in the test setup needs to be designed with extreme care. The photo shows our pump model EMF 400-384 on test. Fortunately for us, the pump has performed brilliantly during tests. Thanks to the care taken during test set-up design. Four pumps are getting ready for a high profile irrigation scheme in Northern India.

Pumps for Algeria

The contract posed many challenges -pumps need to be dimensionally identical to the existing units to facilitate quick replacement in an active refinery, pumps are in duplex stainless steel and we have designed to cast them using investment casting processes. We have now satisfactorily tested all the pumps and they are ready for shipment after third-party inspection.

Oldie Pump House

" Old Pump House " is comfortably appointed with pantry and bath facilities- two rooms are furnished with air conditioning and other facilities. Next we will think of adding a Gym!

TIRELESS FIRE FIGHTERS

These two pumps traveled to the UAE, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, and many other countries to perform tireless vigil against fire hazards.

ESL 300 - 550

Interestingly, most often these pumps are demanded in all duplex stainless steel construction and of course we are ready to oblige.

These two form a part of a group of five identical pumps designed and manufactured by us for a prestigious water supply scheme that will provide unlimited drinking water to the residents of Mussoorie and Landour. Each pump is rated for a capacity of 264 m3/hr at 300m head which is driven by 375 kW motors at 1500 rpm

High - Energy Pumps for distant household

This makes it necessary for us to develop more and more two and three-stage high head pumps which will carry potable water to people in distant locations through reliable and energy-efficient pumping.
