An air-conditioning pump that leaves minimum carbon footprint
Air-conditioning is a major source of carbon emissions and to mitigate the environmental impact of extensive air-conditioning of large public spaces, it is important to develop energy efficient chilled water pumps.
Our pump model 8HS15 meets the goal admirably by achieving high efficiency of 89% at BEP and maintaining a consistency high efficiency over the entire operating range.
How was the high efficiency achieved? Design parameters were chosen very carefully to optimize on hydraulic efficiency and we did extensive CFD analysis to verify and reconfirm our design. We also built the prototype with extreme care so that the mechanical, leakage and disc friction losses remain low.
This helped us achieve the benchmark efficiency on prototype test.
8HS15 covers mpst popular air-conditioning duties of 600-800m3 / hr @ 30-40 m head. These pumps are used in central air-conditioning plants at airports, hospitals, stadiums and other public utilities.
